At just 19 years old the former NCFC player has already made history with Bundesliga side Werder Bremen’s Youth Academy and now looks to sign his first professional contract with a first team. Cazzi norgren
A very warm welcome for Cazzi Norgren 👏 AKA Coach Caz! A history maker and trendsetter in her own right, Coach Caz is such an inspiration to those around her and players lucky enough to work with her. It's been a blessing bringing Cazzi on board as a full time SG coach. Throughout Cazzi's life soccer has always been her sport. From a young girl with a love for the game to 5 years of Division 1 Soccer. Breaking the Campbell University program record for minutes played with 1,624 in one season. Unfortunately, tearing her ACL in her final collegiate season. Nothing has stood in the way of Cazzi's dreams. As she continues to strive to a professional contract that perseverance is palpable.
Xander Martin
Today we sit down with Xander Martin before he heads into the Fall season with Campbell University. A longtime SG athlete and now SG coach, in this episode we explore the depths of Xander's life growing up in Raleigh, coming through SG and the NCFC pipeline, earning himself a spot on the 1st ever Charlotte FC MLS academy team, making his way to Division 1 NCAA soccer at UNCG, transferring away after two years, and what all that taught him.
Seth Wolins
The OG, Seth Wolins, welcome to The Common Thread 👏 A lifetime member of the SG community, after moving over from South Africa at a young age Seth wanted to be a goalkeeper and needed a place to train. In steps SG Owner, Taylor Pilkington, and the rest is history. Seth went on to play at the NCAA Division 1 level in between the sticks, found a travel agency with his mom, follow his passion in photography.. and a bit of modeling, and so much more. What a character Seth is. Now at the ripe age of 25 Seth is maturing into his adult life and finding out what that means for him.
