
Volunteer Coaching at SG

As an assistant coach, you’ll support the lead coach in delivering fun, age-appropriate soccer activities to children ages 3-9.
You’ll help create a positive and safe environment where our youngest players can explore movement, learn basic skills, and fall in love with the game.
You’ll also be paired with a mentor coach who will guide you, provide feedback, and support your development throughout the season.

Time commitment: 2x per week for 9 weeks
Your schedule will be based on the program schedule - Is subject to change
This is a great opportunity for students, young coaches who want to gain experience, and or anyone looking to give back and share the joy of soccer with the next generation.
Spots available: 5 volunteers
Benefits: Mentorship, hands-on experience, and signed volunteer hours for records

Assist the lead coach in setting up and running engaging soccer sessions
Help guide children through simple drills, games, and activities
Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive behavior
Ensure a safe and welcoming space for all players
Be a positive role model and supportive presence on the field

Bring a friendly, welcoming, and patient attitude to work with the kids every day
Be reliable and punctual for scheduled sessions (arrive at least 15 minutes prior to session start)
Soccer experience is a plus, but not required - Enthusiasm is the top priority!
Must complete a basic background check (administered by us)

Involvement in Academy programs, boot camps, and summer leagues may become available based on performance and development as a volunteer coach!
