Coach Omar

Omar Abouseido, Program Director of SG Academy, brings both a decorated playing career and a deep personal connection to Soccer Genome—having trained here as an athlete from 2015 to 2018. A graduate of NC State Men’s Soccer (Class of 2022), Omar also competed with Wake FC in USL League Two in 2022 and is a proud CASL/NCFC alumnus. His youth career is highlighted by a 2018 State Championship, 2018 Region III Championship, and a run to the 2018 National Final, all while serving as Wakefield High School Varsity Captain and earning All-Conference and All-District honors. With firsthand experience at every stage of player development, Omar brings a passionate, detail-driven approach to coaching—guiding young athletes through the SG Academy pathway with the same standards of excellence that shaped his own journey.
