SG Tryout Clinic 2017

In response to numerous questions from parents and players, Soccer Genome will be hosting a pre-tryout clinic in order to inform both parents and players on how to prepare and have success at their upcoming club tryouts. How can I stand out? Should I focus on taking chances or play conservative and avoid making mistakes? Should I be aggressive when I have the ball or focus on passing the ball as quickly as possible? The coaches of Soccer Genome have had extensive experience with tryouts for club teams as participants, and as coaches. We would love to share some of that expertise with your kids in order to improve their chances of making a top team.

Soccer Genome will also be offering consultation from two Sports Psychologists that work directly with student athletes from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Bradley Hack and Dr. Jeni Shannon will take time out of their hectic schedules to talk with players and parents about managing stress through tryouts and finding ways to keep your athlete confident and focused on the prize!
